The department also has participatory innovative community role model engagement. They consult with affected men, women, and children on the design of facilities, hygiene kits, and outreach systems, support community organizations, organizers, and communicators carry out a basic gender analysis and disaggregate Data to Identify and respond to vulnerability (e.g. people living with disability, elderly people, etc)
Zambia Red Cross Society through its health projects focuses on hygiene promotion to enable people to take action to prevent or mitigate water, sanitation, and hygiene related diseases through ensuring that optimal use is made of the water, sanitation, and hygiene enabling facilities are provided. The key activities conducted under this pillar include health promotion activities through use of media, interface, drama and public address system.
