Members and Volunteers

Any Branch is free to engage individual members and volunteers who ascribe to the principles of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and to ZRCS’s Volunteer and Members code of conduct and ethics.

The Red Cross and Red Cross Movement globally is driven by the power of volunteerism to alleviate human suffering and build resilient communities. Guided by the Seven Fundamental Principles, Humanity, Impartiality, Voluntary Service, Neutrality, Independence, Unity, and Universality, we work tirelessly to support those in need.
Zambia Red Cross Society (ZRCS) has over 8,000 volunteers across the country, including 2,500 fully paid-up members, with 74% being youths. We also proudly engage 199differently abled volunteers, ensuring inclusivity in our humanitarian efforts.
