

The Regional Committee serves as the WHO decision-making body for the region, meeting annually to discuss and endorse policies, activities, and financial plans aimed at improving the health of the people in Africa.
Key representatives from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) who attended the session included Laurean Bwanakunu Rugambwa, who is IFRC Africa Regional Head of Humanitarian Diplomacy; Dr. Irene Kiiza, who is Head of Health and Care Africa; and ZRCS Secretary General Mr. Cosmas Sakala.
